1.4.2 Bug *** Possible Solution ***
1.4.2 Bug *** Possible Solution ***
After upgrading to 1.4.2 I have come across a bug. Using OSX 10.6 on MacBook.
When looking at Track Library Tab all is well. Songs are listed.
I click on Show Library tab and I see my show. All is well.
I switch back to Track Library to edit a setting or que on a songs.
When I click back on Show Library and click on my show (Show 1) the middle grid will not show up with my songs and timeline.
The program doesn't lock up as I can click back to the Track Library tab but when I go back to the Show Library that screen is locked up with no center timeline.
Requires a shut down, restart to function correctly. I video taped the malfunction if it would help.

Re: 1.4.2 Bug
Any updates on this error. Turned in a trouble ticket a few weeks ago and have not heard anything. I can reproduce it 100% of the time so it's not erratic. Definite buzz kill when having to switch from timeline to song library to tweak a setting with intent to return to timeline. Shutdown, restart is only solution.

Re: 1.4.2 Bug
I've not been able to recreate this. It might possibly be OS X 10.6 specific, in which case it may prove difficult to resolve. (Apple dropped official support for 10.6 back in February)

Re: 1.4.2 Bug
Snow Leopard is a huge deal for us at this time. We lose some expensive plug-ins by updating as well as some nice functionality in the way Expose' and Spaces work so we stuck ourselves on 10.6.
I really didn't get the chance to test 1.4.1 due to it instantly telling me there was an update so I did. Prior to 1.4.1 no issues.
Thanks Dave. Reckon' I'll deal with it until you stumble on to a fix or I'm forced to update.

Re: 1.4.2 Bug
Sure, I understand that upgrading can be tricky for lots of reasons. The problem I face is that once Apple drop support for an OS X release, their development tools go out of date for that OS pretty quickly - meaning that maintenance becomes impossible. But I'll see what I can do to fix this specific bug - assuming I can dust off a 10.6 system and recreate it!mwd wrote:Snow Leopard is a huge deal for us at this time. Re: 1.4.2 Bug
DAVE,
I am having the exact same issues when truing to build my show as MWD described.. I am running the latest version of mavericks 10.9.4 so its not an issue like you may have suggested. Any help would be appreciated. I promise not to update my mac until you have a new headache called YOSEMITE. Cheers man,

Re: 1.4.2 Bug
I have the same problem.
Running this on two diffrent computers with Windows 7.
Can be reproduced 100% of the times.
As soon I switch to Track view I can never go back to Show without restart of the program.

Re: 1.4.2 Bug - Update - Possible Solution
I may have had a break thru on this bug. I have always worked with a single Default Show. With a new venue coming up we finally had the occasion to create a 2nd, more condensed, show. I created this second show. I renamed Default Show to Standard Show. We then had some MIDI edits to bounce back and forth between Song Library and Track List and I noticed it now worked properly. I did not have to shut down and restart to see the track timeline.
I don't know what I did to make it start working but here are some possible solutions:
1. Rename Default Show to (something else). May shake something loose.
2. Create a second show and then possibly delete it. If that doesn't work:
3. Create a second show and use it.
One of the above made my system start working. Hope this helps.

Ah, that would explain why I haven't been able to reproduce the problem here - all my test setups have multiple shows. Thanks for the additional info, I'll investigate further.

I can confirm that adding a second show fixed my problem.
Now it is possible to to switch between the modes without restart of the software.
Thank you and hopefully this will be fixed in next release.
