Dmxis vs upgrading to Show Buddy with Reaper

I am pre programming a live band’s setlist on Reaper (DAW) to play the tracks, video, and light show (thru DMXis) by virtue of the drummer starting and stopping the set with simply hitting the space bar. I am a first timer, so any help I can get, suggestions, video tutorials, etc would be GREATLY appreciated!
Also would it make my pre programming a lot easier getting Show Buddy also? Would that even be compatible with Reaper and running it that way? Thanks!
