Another instance of footswitch failure...

Hello,
I've read several footswitch related topics on this forum but none are exactly like my issue; at least not that I can see.

I'm working from a Windows 7 laptop. My footswitch is configured for single click = Next Preset, double click = Previous Preset, and Hold = Next Bank. The footswitch works exactly as it should on DMXiS. However, it does nothing for Showbuddy. The LED lights in the dongle when I press the switch but nothing happens in the software.

I have the manuals for DMXiS and Showbuddy. As I said, I got DMXiS to work as described.

Any assistance would be terrific!

The "click & hold" setting may be confusing Show Buddy. Try to set it to "No action" in DMXIS (i.e. only define Switch type, Single click and Double click for Footswitch A)

Also, be aware that footswitch settings are saved separately for each DMXIS show. Make sure you have configured the footswitch for every DMXIS show that you use in Show Buddy.

I set the Click & Hold to No Action. I also set all the settings of footswitch 2 to No Action. No change in the footswitch action on Showbuddy.

Something I did discover is the footswitch also does not work on the DMXiS that comes up with Showbuddy. Don't know if that gives any clue.

What versions of DMXIS and Show Buddy are you running?

That's by design. Show Buddy overrides any DMXIS footswitch settings.

Have you tried the latest Show Buddy release, version 1.5.3?
