There's not much action here so I don't know if this will help anyone or not, but I like to have API guides handy as a pdf so that I can more easily reference them, read them on my iPad, etc.
All I did was copy Dave's topic on the programming guide and format it into a pdf doc. However, if it's helpful to anyone else, you're welcome to grab it from here:

If you are new to the Python. No need to worry, it's very easy to learn. You just really need to find a good study material. The Python Tutorial is really going to help you a lot as it has a large number of examples as well as practice questions that will help you in building your concept.
