This thread is about a new software product, but I can certainly pass your thoughts onto Enttec.
That would certainly be awesome. I've allmost considered "modding" our DMXis unit for this purpouse.

I did exactly that. I built the DMXIS into a Chavet D-Fi Stream 6.

It's a software controller, which can transmit via the existing DMXIS hardware box & Art-Net.

So, we had a short teaser video (from which the sharp eyed gleaned some information), we’ve had snippets of info mentioned in this topic. September is not that far away .....isn’t it about time for another teaser Dave?

Here's an overview of DMXIS Platinum features.

Oh, and a gratuitous photo of my office earlier today. DMXIS Platinum - the perfect excuse to buy that ultrawide monitor you've been eyeing up on Amazon :D

A few people have asked me to clarify what "Unified control of DMX Lighting, LED Pixels and Video" means on the preview webpage.

I think this short video captures it. It shows a couple of VJ video clips playing in DMXIS Platinum. Notice how the LED poles and DMX floods/pars track the video content perfectly, extending the visuals beyond the confines of the projector.

No fiddly DMX programming required. All I did here was choose the video clips to play in the Platinum FX editor.

Dave,

Rather than a projector (and possibly, a screen) that you mentioned in the description,
can the HDMI port from a laptop running DMXIS and Showbuddy be connected to a large flat screen TV HDMI port for the graphics?

Dave :)

We're into beta testing now. Won't be long.

I strongly feel that it's important to release a stable, reliable product. Therefore, I won't compromise on the final important stages of testing just to hit a particular release date.

Sorry Dave, I completely missed that!! Duh .....

Thank you.

After Using DMXIS for the last year or so, I've learned a lot about what I want from my lights and have a much better understanding of busking. I'm getting ready to do a full revamp of my light show and the OSC layout. Putting together some ideas now, but going to wait for the new version before I get too far into the re-make. I want to compare it to D-Pro and see which one might be better for what I'm doing.

Hi Dave,

Still really excited for this, but I had a quick question that doesn't seem to have been asked yet (I'm really sorry if it has and I'm wasting your time going over old ground). I was just wondering if the banks/presets setup with footswitch control via the dmxis box is still going to be a thing in platinum.

I'm controlling the light-show from a boss FS7 because I'm generally changing scenes while singing and playing bass, and we don't play to click or track in our main show so I don't use showbuddy. I usually have a bank for each song in the set and then a list of presets for each section of the song I can step through, and just have the buttons on the FS7 set to next and previous patch.

Will there be a way to have similar control in platinum? or will it be a case of using platinum to program scenes and then importing those scenes into DMXIS to run the show?

I can't wait to see what you've done with it, the evolution of the original DMXIS program has been amazing, I've been using it for years now and every update has brought some new feature or addition that I now can't imagine working without. You're a fucking boss Dave.

Cheers

Yes, Platinum has all the original DMXIS features including footswitch control from the DMXIS box. Your original shows will run without modification.
