Preset order in 1.5.7

Post by drdocto »

Earlier version bank and preset ordering was like 001 - NAME, 002 - NAME2, 003 - NAME3... Now its like 061 - NAME61, 001 - NAME1, 043 - NAME43 and so on. I think it also triggers wrong banks and presets because of this. Any help?

You can edit the order of banks and presets by dragging them up & down in the lists.

There is no way doing this automatically? -It is a bit pain to arrange 150+ banks after update. Earlier version did this automatic.

You can modify each show (bank) XML file with a text editor allowing you to organize alphabetically.

Since the OP would need to edit 150 XML files, it's simpler to drag & drop the banks from the DMXIS interface. Should only take a couple of minutes, and it's a one-off task.

Sorry, clearly if its the bank ordering that needs to be fixed it would be infinity faster to use the GUI. However if somebody needs to re-order a large number of presets then XML file is easy to modify.
