Hello everyone, I finally made the switch from DMXis to Show Buddy, and the standalone version works perfectly. However, once I replaced the DMXIS audio plug-in in Ableton with the show buddy plug-in, that’s where the trouble starts.
It seems as though the lights are indeed receiving a DMX signal, because when I open the Ableton show, the lights all reset to starting position and they indicate they are receiving signal. The DMXIS Box is powered up, as the green lights indicate. However the status bar in the show buddy plug-in reads “lost connection”and the yellow light does not blink.
Occasionally the plug in does connect and everything is fine, but there’s no consistent reason or circumstance for this. In fact it was working all day, but I unplugged the box to move the computer, and when I plugged it back in it failed to connect and no matter what I do, I can’t get it to reconnect. I’ve tried different cables, disconnecting all other USB devices, restarting, using VST vs audio, but nothing seems to work.
I’m running the newest versions of show buddy and installed the newest version of DMXis, but I do not have DMXis running obviously. Ableton version is 12.1.5 on a MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.2.
