Set the Offset to the same value in multiple channels at once?

Post by Midiimport »

Oscillator
OffSet:

When multiple channels are selected, the value is spread, rather than all being the chosen value. For example if I select four channels and put the offset value to 1 not all channels will have an offset value of 1. One will be 1, the next 0.75, the next 0.5 and so on.

This is occasionally useful. But for me more often than not I want all selected channels to have the same value. Is there a way to do this?

Not sure I understand what you are trying to do. If you want several fixtures to behave identically I think you just leave offset at zero.

I want to set ALL of the circled channels to

Oscillator
Type: Sine
Amount: 100%
Offset: 1

So I select all fixtures to Sine, they all set to Sine. Success!

I set them to them to amount 100%. Success!

I set the offset to 1. However they do not all go to 1. They are set as the followling:

Channel 1, Offset: 0
Channel 2, Offset: 0.08
Channel 3, Offset: 0.17
Channel 4 Offset: 0.25
...
channels 12, Offset: 0.92

They have fanned!

I am sure this is sometimes useful, but I want to set them all to 1. They way I have figured to do this is select each channel individually and set it to 1.

Is there a faster way?

I understand that, and I think you have found the solution. However - can't the same lighting effect be achieved with all required fixtures set to offset zero? I may well be misunderstanding here - as I don't have anything like the rig you must have! Good luck!
