Re: Show Buddy Active 2.1.7 BETA now available
Hey Dave, any reason or known bugs with the beta so far?
I've just installed 2.17 and will give it a quick run this weekend (kids birthday party, low impact if I have any issues)
Will drop back to 2.16 though if you think the beta is not ready for production use.

Hi Dave
I've installed 2.1.6 and got most of my show working except the color wheels.
You mentioned earlier on this forum that color wheels would be in the next release.
Does the 2.1.7 beta visualizer support color wheels?
Kind regards
Soren

2.1.7 has been out for quite some time, and I haven't received any bug reports. I'd say it's very stable.Callan05 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 7:23 am Hey Dave, any reason or known bugs with the beta so far?

Yes, so long as the colour wheel is defined as a colour channel with named ranges (and the fixture has no RGB channels).
The visualiser will recognise ranges containing these strings:
- "black" or "off"
- "red"
- "green"
- "blue"
- "white"
- "yell"
- "pink"
- "mag"
- "cya"
- "ora"
- "purp"

Re: Show Buddy Active 2.1.7 BETA now available
Thanks - that's great news and it also works in 2.1.6.
I'll definitely switch from DMXIS to ShowBuddyActive now.
The only color I'm missing for my fixtures is Lime (Green+½blue).
Maybe it can be added in a future revision?
Another request for the future are mixes where the color wheel is parked between two colors so you get a twin color beam.
The combinations in my fixtures are Cya-Lime, Lime-Mag, Mag-Yell, Yell-Blue, Blue-Green, Green-Red, Red-White.
I don't know if it's possible to generate a two color beam in a future revision?
Thank you for adding this important feature - well done.
