Two DMXIS USB units for sale

Post by ChrisDuncan »

(Dave, I hope it's okay to post this here, if not point me to the right section of the forum.)

Hey, guys.

I had one unit I was designing a show with and another as a spare, but I could never get the band together so they're just sitting on the shelf. I see that as of last December Enttec is no longer manufacturing them.

I'm in the process of selling a ton of my studio and live band gear as I'm no longer doing that anymore, and I figured you guys would be the most likely to benefit from the DMXIS units. As for price, just make me a fair offer for them. They've been in a smoke free studio and never went to gigs, so they're like new.

I live in the Atlanta, GA, so it's only practical to mail them to you if you're here in the US. I'm sure shipping across the pond would be too expensive to be worthwhile for you.

If anyone's interested in them let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Chris,
How much are you asking for one of them? I am in SC.

Thanks,

Hey, Foster.

How about $150 each plus whatever it costs me to ship them to you from Atlanta?

Hey Chris. I just need one. How do you want to handle the payment?
Also, since it looks like you are liquidating your gear, do you have any other LED DMX fixtures you might be getting rid of. I am a drummer in a regional band. I operate the lights from my laptop while playing. Always looking for some additional lighting gear.

Hey, Ozzie.

One is fine. I'm in the process of listing all the gear on Reverb, so I'll send you the link once it's up and you can pay through them.

I'm selling all of my lights as well as custom lighting trusses and stage risers, but once you factor in shipping I don't think it would be a good deal for either of us.

I'll shoot you a link once it's on Reverb.

Thanks very much, man.

I have a place down in Anderson (near Clemson). It may be worth the drive depending on what you have.
Send me the link.

Here's the link to my Reverb section with everything listed.

https://reverb.com/shop/chriss-gear-locker-131

I made the price on the DMXIS $160 with free shipping to keep it simple since it's the only thing listed that's not local pickup. I'm working late Mon - Wed so I won't be able to ship it until Thursday.

Here's the list of all the lighting, trusses, stage risers, etc. with a total for all. Open to any reasonable offer, especially if you want it all, as I don't want to make a career out of getting rid of this gear.

I'm in Canton, GA, which is north of Atlanta.

Qty Item Each Total
1 Trusses 950 950
1 Stage risers 500 500
16 American Dj FlatPar Tri7 X color changer 95 1,520
14 Chauvet Intimidator Spot LED 150 195 2,730
1 Chauvet SlimPar Quad 6 color changer 95 95
2 Chauvet Colorband Pix-M color bars 295 590
1 Chauvet Funfetti Shot 330 330
2 Chauvet Followspot 75ST w/stand 495 990
2 Rolling follow spot stands 75 150
1 Pea Souper 595 595
1 Chauvet DJ Hurricane 1800 flex fog machine 250 250
1 DF-50 hazer 1500 1,500
Total 5375

Thanks Chris. I just placed the order for one of the DMXIS units. If you can include any of paperwork (registration information) that I need, it would be helpful. I used my primary home address (SC, near charlotte) for the mailing. I will look over the list and see if there is anything I can use. I don't generally use a truss as I try to minimize set up and break down time and considering the limited space I generally have. Will get back to you.

Thanks again,
Foster

Hey, Ozzie -

I see that it's been sold, but for some reason it charged for shipping and made it $172 instead of $160. I'll put $12 in the box with the unit when I ship it so the price is what I said it would be.

Sorry about that, man. I don't do a lot on Reverb so I must have forgot to check a box somewhere.

Chris,

On the intimidator Spot LED 150, is it more of a beam or a wash? I am thinking about two for behind the speakers that can through upward toward the front guitars (especially if I lower or turn off the front wash lights we already have). Also, do they come with cases?

Thanks.

After looking at the Reverb order I see they didn't charge you for shipping, the extra 12 was tax, so I didn't put any money in the box. I don't have any documentation on the units, but there is a sticker on the bottom with the serial number if that helps.

Turns out the shipping label was USPS, so I was able to print it out and just put it in the mailbox. Hopefully they'll pick up today.

Whenever you get a chance to look over the gear just let me know if you think it's worth a road trip.

Thanks, man.

They're beams. I don't have a UI for playing videos on the studio site, but you can download this (150 megs) to see a song with the full system in use to show you what they look like.

They don't come in cases, but they're still in the original boxes with the manufacturer's packing. A trick I used back in the 80s on some of my gear was to wrap a box completely in clear shipping tape. That made it waterproof as I was in NY and frequently had to load in / out in the rain.

Thanks Chris,

I am going to order two of the 150's. My schedule is a bit hectic this week. I know you are working late on Wednesday, but depending how late, I could come down that evening. I have rehearsal on Thursday and a gig in Charlotte on Saturday. If Wednesday does not work, It would likely have to be next week before I can come down to pick them up. Let me know.

Oops. Foster it is! :)

Wednesday after 6:30 would be okay. I'm working until 10:00 but I work from home so I can take a few minutes to get you the 150s. I have a call with my LA guy until 6:30 hence the timing.

Rather than ordering on Reverb, just bring cash if you don't mind. That way I don't have to hassle with their system.

I can't find a way to DM (perhaps that's not available on this forum), so if you don't mind go to https://www.happydragonmusic.com/home/contact and send me your cell number so I can text you my address.

Thanks for picking up the gear, man. Much appreciated.
