When selecting a fixture in the visualizer window, it would be useful to highlight and center the selected fixture in the fader window to allow quick level setting. Currently it only highlights the fixture in the fader window, and you have to manually reposition the selected fader into view. Maybe this is a behavior that could be selectable in the preferences, for example, Fader auto-center on select Y/N?

Just to be clear, you mean "center" the fader in the left-right sense relative to the width of the program window, not move it to 50%, right?

That is correct. No change to the fader value, just move the fader strip/window left or right to bring the fader into view.
