Creating files in SB Active and transferring them to ShowBuddy

Post by brokenbones »

My lighting rig Mac Mini is older and will run ShowBuddy without any hiccups. It's specs however will not facilitate SB Active. Could I run SB Active on my home computer to visualize and create lighting scenes, then export those scenes/files over to the older computer running ShowBuddy? Any potential errors with this scenario? Will certain features not carry over?

I don't expect to run advance features like video or VST usage, just general lighting screen creation.

Show Buddy and Show Buddy Active are two completely different products.

SBA is the advanced version of DMXIS. In fact it used to be called DMXIS platinum.

I not really sure why it got renamed as show buddy Active.

Either way, there really isn't anyway to do what your asking.

Show Buddy is designed to run lighting cues from audio tracks/Songs and SBA is a stand-alone lighting controller. They really don't have anything to do with each other. (although Show Buddy can be used to trigger lighting scenes in SBA)
