2.0.12 availability?
Hi Dave,
Are there any news on the progress of 2.0.12 with the moving head visualizer?
Best regards
Soren

Super.
Do you have a rough idea about the time schedule for the release of these two updates?

Re: 2.0.12 availability?
It would be great to know. At one point I figured an update was imminent last year, due to the post touting new features. I bought it actually assuming those features were actually in the software due to a confusing versioning change. The change being that it was posted that said new features would be in version 2.11 but then 2.11 was released as a simple name change and the new features would actually been 2.12. Honestly the visualizer is only usable for about half my setup and there are numerous bugs. The latest involves preset reordering. I made the mistake of opening a show I made in the plugin version using the standalone and it completely reordered my presets in all banks. This of course carried back over to the plugin which mean't now the wrong presets get triggered by midi notes. Took HOURS to fix. Then went to transfer banks and presets from studio to live machine and it did all again. Fortunately that time I had the presets named with a number so I could rearrange them back but it took SO much time.

Yes, I'm in the same boat. I'm still using DMXIS and won't switch before the moving head visualizer is there.
It's been 10 months now since I bought it in November after the "wiggly beams" post, but to be fair the post said "coming soon" which isn't an exact engineering unit.
I guess that if you're a geologist studying the forming of mountain ranges, 10 months is next to nothing - but I had a different time frame in mind when I bought it. I still hope that I will eventually get some use out of this purchase, but at least I have learned not to buy before the needed features are there.

Any update on this? Unless I'm mistaken, I believe the last discussion of an update was 6+ months ago?
Re: 2.0.12 availability?
A beta of Show Buddy (not Active) 1.7.1 was made available in August of 2019. Hopefully that will be released soon and an update to Show Buddy Active soon after.
I'm in the same situation as others here... bought SBA, but waiting for an update before actively using it.
I've gone as far as looking into alternatives such as:
Very curious to see what NAMM brings next week.

Using DMXIS, waiting to see what Showbuddy becomes before a possible upgrade.

Dave,
We're coming up on a year since you posted "First comes Show Buddy 1.7, then SBA 2.0.12 will follow".
Is there any sort of guidance on how long it will be until this is released?

Seeing as how 2020 is going, I'd rather not have a release this year.Studio-412 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:20 pm Is there any sort of guidance on how long it will be until this is released?

Looks like that was the only SBA wish granted.Studio-412 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:37 pm lol. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you may just get your wish.

Dave - can you please give us some sort of estimate as to when we can expect 2.0.12? It's been over 2 years since your last update on this.Dave Brown [admin] wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 4:57 pm First comes Show Buddy 1.7, then SBA 2.0.12 will follow
