Effect shuts off

If I'm running a preset with an effect say a star. When I hit a preset that is a channel mask the effect stops. What Am I doing wrong

You will have to update the other presets to mask the effects generator. That way the effect will continue to play.

Use the FX On button when masking the effects generator.

I'm don't think I understand
I have the effect button in the on position when I made the mask presents.
Still shuts off the effect

So you need to deselect it whe. You save the preset to turn it off. Then the other presser with the effect running will continue.

Hi guys,

The solution to the effects shutting off is to save the FX button on the effect menu to off on the preset without effects.
This way you can for example have the rectangle effect on some of you're lights and simultaneously do something with you're moving heads.
