HELP!!!! SBA Causing Graphics Glitch on OSX

Post by xclusiveimage »

Has anyone seen this before? I'm on a mid-2011 Macbook Pro running High Sierra, 10.13.3. This glitch just started happening about 2 days ago. I had NO issues with it for the previous 6 weeks.

This only happens when I have SBA open - standalone and in Logic. It seems to be random. Sometimes it won't do it for hours, other times it does it every 5 minutes.

Made sure I had no other programs open. As soon as SBA closes, my display returns to normal. Sometimes it will freeze my computer up, then SBA shuts down and returns me to the OS lock screen. Very odd.

What graphics chip does your MacBook have? (Displayed in "About your Mac" from the main macOS menu)

From System Requirements on the Show Buddy Active page:

"Show Buddy Active makes extensive use of OpenGL. As an absolute minimum you need Intel HD Graphics 4400 integrated graphics, or equivalent. (Some older chipsets such as HD Graphics 3000 will not work)."
