Install problems

Trying to install DMXIS Platinum but had to upgrade to Windows 10 to do it.
Now I have a clean and updated Windows 10 and DMXIS Platinum installed.
When starting DMXIS Platinum I get this error message: python26.dll is either not prepared to run in Windows, or it contains a fault.

Do I have to install Python separately?
If I do should I get 2.7.15 or 3.7.1?

I read in the DMXIS Python Programming Guide that DMXIS is using Python version 2.6.
Is that the same version used in DMXIS Platinum?
Will it corrupt something if I try to install Python separately?

Hi there,

I was messing about with the DMXIS Platinum and finally managed to get it working.

Maybe this short description can help others with the same problem:
1) I installed DMXIS 1.6.3 and after that DMXIS Platinum 2.0.7 ran without problems.
2) I downloaded and installed DMXIS Platinum 2.0.10 and now I got the same error message as before:
python26.dll is either not prepared to run in Windows, or it contains a fault.
3) I installed DMXIS 1.6.3 again and after that DMXIS Platinum 2.0.10 runs without problems.

My best guess is that the Platinum install is overwriting a Python file that doesn't run on my computer? (Windows 10 v. 1709)

Just for your info I had no problems with Win 1803 or the new 1809 ... so maybe upgrading would be good.
