That sort of looks like something I had for a while on Windows ... might have been a damaged driver. I was using the Win 10 Insiders edition when it started happening ... and it was a lot worse than yours. Fortunately another build came down and installing that one fixed it ... probably by refreshing the driver.

It was very selective about what it distorted ... I think pure Win32 apps were OK. Could also be an issue with software support for your GPU.

You could try installing the latest Nvidia driver for Windows 10:

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverR ... 9905/en-us

Platinum renders everything using OpenGL, so up-to-date graphics drivers are critical.

I wonder if you might have another GPU intensive app to try ... photoshop, illustrator, or maybe there's some web-based graphics demo Dave could recommend trying...just to see if its Platinum specific.

I suppose you could check if you are using "non-native" frame rates or resolution on the monitor. In fact, if you have an alternate display port to try (like if the display is connected to the GPU card, connect it to the native interface if possible. Maybe some crazy interaction with the audio interface selected in the preferences.

I guess we're trying to isolate it to Platinum or a problem in general with graphics intensive apps.

BTW I don't think you have mentioned much about your hardware/software environment.

Run this program to make sure you have a real 1050 and what it's characteristics are:

This is a reputable utility...

I've sent you an email on this one, Kenny. It may be a rogue fixture definition, as those glitches look quite like beams. Try creating a new show, then adding fixtures one at a time. Does the glitch appear when a particular fixture is added?

I thought that. I can have no project open
With no fixtures and it happens

That's good ... although I have read there's been problems with the 3GB version. Maybe you should post a screen shot of the results from GPU-Z...might help Dave ascertain the graphics environment. Also the machine maker and the OS level.

OK, I've managed to lay my hands on a PC with a 1050 Ti card, I'll run some tests there and see if I can reproduce the issue. It doesn't seem to be related to the show or fixtures loaded, so I'm fairly sure it must be graphics card specific, especially since no-one else has reported the issue.

Just need to explain to my daughter why her gaming PC has mysteriously disappeared ;)

By the way, you said you updated everything ... does that mean you attempted to update the drivers. If so, how did you attempt to do that (because using Device Manager to do it doesn't always work right, apparently)?

Runs fine here on a GTX 1050 Ti. Tested 2.0.10 demo for about 30 minutes, with and without fixtures patched and FX running - no glitches. Here's a screenshot, perhaps the driver details will reveal a clue compared to your machine?

Thanks again for all your help.
It's great to have customer service such as yours. That's is lacking in today's world.
Great job on the program. Great job on fixing and or addressing any problems with the program and or user error.
I cant wait for your update to the visualizer that you posted so I can see the panning and tilting of my fixtures.
Thanks again. 5 stars from me

Try to determine if windows update or something else updated the drivers.Again, I recommend running that graphics status program GPU-Z to see how your GPU is set up. Retain that info and if necessary go thru the re-install again and see if anything has changed by the re-install. We're just guessing this is software related but it could be the card, too.
