Hello!
I'm new to DMXIS, and this is my first forum post, so please be gentle...
I'm trying to create new definitions in the fixture editor, as the existing public definitions are inaccurate, or missing data.
Some of my fixtures have channel settings that are dependent on the value in another channel. For example, Ch 38 is strobe speed if Ch 39 000<>031, Ch 38 is Auto Speed if Ch 39 032<>226, or Ch 38 is Sound Sensitivity if Ch 39 227<>255.
How do I program these variable channel definitions in the fixture editor?
Thanks in anticipation!

Re: Channel value definition dependent on other channel
There's no way to program dependencies between channels in a fixture definition.
In this case, you could simply name Ch39 "Mode" and assign it 3 fixed ranges - "Strobe", "Auto" and "Sound". Then give Ch38 a generic name like "Mode Lvl", and assign it a simple variable 0-255 range.

Thanks for the reply!
The problem is that the dependent value ranges aren't necessarily the same.
