Beginner Question

I just started exploring DMXIS and lighting for my band. I also play in the band so I’ll need to control things with a foot switch. Couple questions - do I need to buy the DMXIS interface to connect computer to foot switch and also to connect my lights? Or are there other options?

DMXIS is a package software and hardware, they are not sold or used separately.
