Can I save my 512 channels of MIDI learn

Post by floodstage »

I MIDI learned all 512 channels of DMX to an external fader bank.
All 512 channels seperately mapped to faders on different layers.
Makes programming much faster than doing it with a mouse

But it took a long while to set up.

Is there a way I can save the MIDI assignments I learned so if I lose them, I can reload it
(quicker than learning one fader at a time!)

Take a look at the C:\Users\Public\Documents\ENTTEC\DMXIS\Presets\DmxConfig.xml file with a text editor.

There's a section of the file labeled <MidiAssignments>. It's pretty self explanatory how it's set up once you see it.

Worth clarifying that each DMXIS show has its own copy of DmxConfig.xml, so each show can have different MIDI Learn assignments. For example, for a DMXIS show called "MyShow" the file would be:
  • Windows : C:\Users\Public\Documents\ENTTEC\DMXIS\Shows\MyShow\DmxConfig.xml
  • Mac : /Library/Application Support/ENTTEC/DMXIS/Shows/MyShow/DmxConfig.xml
