Oscillator again - how to determine/config starting position

Post by BrianS2 »

Is there a deterministic approach to predicting the starting position of the oscillators when changing banks/presets? For example, set up an 8 or 16 chase sequence with a sine oscillator going forward (left to right). You will see the sliders go in a nice sine wave (tip from another post). Now, let's say I want to synchronize with a music score (in Logic). In other words, beat 1, bar 1 of each song should always have the same state of all the sliders (with the same values) when that preset is activated (not continued from the prior preset). I have not found a predictable way to reset the oscillator and have it start from it's initial state (left to right - wise in my set of fixtures) when toggling between presets. Looking for guidance here. My workaround now is to manually program the chase using MIDI and then looping.

Thanks.
