Hanging fixtures upside down

Post by mikevar94 »

Hey guys I’m trying to figure out how to set up my generic 36x3 beam movers upside. My set up consists of 4 of them. 2 are right side up on their bases on outter side of stage and 2 are hanging upside down up on a truss. My question is how can I make the hanging ones act like the nonhanging ones when I oscillate them all together? In other words, when I select all of them and make them all pan left...they ALL pan left. Right now if I try that the outter ones will pan left while the hanging ones do the exact opposite and pan right. Same goes for tilt. I’ve tried inverting thru dmxis as well as searching thru the fixture’s menu for an onboard option to invert with no luck. Thanks!

Most movers have reverse pan and reverse tilt in their menus
All my generic ones do.
Most of them even have an option to flip the display so you can read it upside down!

(Not in DMXIS, these settings are in the menu on the light itself)

usually will say rPan (r for reverse Pan) or rTiL (reverse Tilt)

Ahh gotcha. I’ll check my fixtures. They’re Chinese brand so I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t have this feature lol. I figured the invert function in dmxis was made for this sort of thing..
