Hi!
I use Ableton Live 9 and Dmxis using a macBook.
In Ableton I use backing tracks and have written my own automation lines for all my lamps. (55songs)
I sold my moving heads and bought new with more channels. All the channels are at different places than the ones I had before (in the previous lamps the dimmer were at channel 4 and the new the dimmer are at channel 6 for example)
All my other lamps also have new dmxadresses because of this.
How do I change the channels so they match with the new lamps?
I really don't want to spend like 100hours to write new automation lines
Any help is appreciated

The only solution I'm aware of is to copy/paste the automation from the old channels into the new, proper channels. Granted it would take a fair amount of time to do 55 songs, but still far less time consuming than starting from scratch and re-programming the lot of them. If you find a simpler solution, please share. This is something I've wondered about as well.

Take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5oiPA6b-bY
While it doesn't help you in the moment, if you set up Ableton using Macros, you will then be able to "repatch" your channels to Ableton as needed.
