Tempo query

Post by johnxhamilton »

Hi everyone.
I have a question about preset tempos. I can't seem to save bespoke tempos for each preset, each one seems to be overridden by the master and bank tempos. What i'm looking for is a single light show for each song in our set. I'm unclear how to create a separate tempo for each song - I'm sure theres a simpe answer someone can point me in the right direction/
Cheers,
John

Assuming you're using the DMXIS standalone application to manually switch presets at showtime, the best approach is to create a separate DMXIS bank for each song (containing presets in the order required for that song) and set the bank tempo as required.

When I select a bank and change the Bank Tempo, it keeps that tempo for all the songs. I thought it would keep the BPM of the original MIDI file (created in Logic X). I don't mind changing the BPM within DMXIS, but it only does a master BPM change for all the songs. The same is true within the Preset Manager. I can't individualize it. Thoughts??
