DMXIS plug in w Logic: Fading between presets

I'm trying to get DMXIS to gradually transition between presets.I'm using Logic Pro X w DMXIS as a plug-in. I've read the manual which says to select one preset, then set fade time, then select the next preset. I've done it over and over -- no luck, Appreciate any help or ideas.
