Copying lightshow into new track

Post by Brattbugg » Thu Feb 06, 2020 4:16 pm

My band uses backing tracks when we perform. We use mp3 tracks, that's just what it is, I realize a lot of people use wav files. That being said, say I have a track for the song Respect by Aretha Franklin. I have an entire lightshow built for the tune and it works great. Now all of the sudden I'd like to add an instrument to the track that wasnt there originally. I recut the audio track with the additional parts and import it into my Show Buddy show. Is there a way to transfer the original light show into the new track? Or do I need to start from scratch? Keep in mind that the track and the clicks are the same as the original, I've simply added an instrument to the existing track. But this change means I have to technically have a brand new track. Im hoping that building a lightshow to the original track wasn't a waste. Myke

You can copy & paste all cues between tracks as follows:
  • Double-click the old track, and click the Edit button.
  • Press Ctrl-A to select all cues, then Ctrl-C to copy them.
  • Double-click the new track, and click the Edit button.
  • Press Ctrl-V to paste in all the cues.
