Will changes in DMXIS follow in to Show Buddy
Will changes in DMXIS follow in to Show Buddy
If I change the look of a preset in DMXIS, will it automatically be recognized in Show Buddy as long as the name of the preset hasn't been changed? I use several presets in several different songs. What if I go into DMXIS and mask channels that were originally unmasked. Will Show Buddy now recognize them as masked?

So there's no need to redo all the tracks I have already created just because I altered the look of a preset? Will the presets that are newly masked reset to the bottom of the waveform? Right now they are at the top because they were unmasked.

You don't need to reprogram your tracks when you alter the look of a preset.
Presets displayed at the bottom of the waveform (with both a start and end fade handle) are momentary presets. It's the presence of an "OFF" preset in the bank which makes them momentary - not the masking.
See this support article for more info.

Ahh ok cool. So if I have 3 groups of lights (a front truss of pars, moving heads and fog units) I should mask the front pads if I want them on all the time? Then use momentary cues for the moving heads and foggers to trigger sporadically? Is all of this set up in DMXIS or in Show Buddy itself?
