Do I have to have DMXIS in order to run Showbuddy?
My band plays to click tracks but we don't run a DAW on stage, just the mp3 files. I'm trying to find the least expensive way to sync up lighting control to those click tracks.
TIA
Can Showbuddy run with a different Enttec dongle?

There are two ways to control lights with Show Buddy...
You can use Show Buddy + ENTTEC DMXIS (which comes with the USB-DMX hardware required to connect your laptop to the lights).
Alternatively, you can use Show Buddy + Show Buddy Active and control your lights via an Art-Net box.

If I use an ArtNet node, is there a way to trigger Next Track in Show Buddy via foot controller? My understanding is that in Show Buddy this can only be done with a 1/4" input from a midi controller directly into the DMXIS controller.

You can trigger Next Track and a few other playback features via MIDI. See the MIDI CC Commands section of the Preferences window.
