I know this may be beyond the scope / market of Show Buddy, but after extensive searching I have not found DJ software that also supports embedded cues that could trigger lighting cues. I love the simplicity of Show Buddy and currently use it with cue my lights and video mapping presets, works flawlessly for my humble DJ gigs in a barn. But it would be so much better if I could create smooth transitions between the songs. I know there are some plug in capabilities with VDJ and Abelton but those seem much more complicated than the Show Buddy set up and provide lots of features that are not needed if your not composing new audio. Ideas? Possibilities? Am I missing something here? Seems there might be a hole in the market out there for software that allows you to embed light cues (MIDI) in your audio tracks and then play those tracks back in an order that you determine live (not pre-selected) i.e. Show buddy with some basic beat matching x-fade audio capabilities.
