So, I have been using D-PRO 2U with my DMXUSB Pro dongle for the past year, and I am very happy with it....
HOWEVER....
I keep reading about the DMXIS and ShowBuddy:
which is a better solutions??
i am planning on upgrading my dongle to the DMXUSB Pro MK2 so that I can take advantage of the additional features, such as MIDI support, etc., but woould I be better off sticking with D-PRO 2U, OR... should I change (upgrade?) to DMXIS??

If you are comfortable with DPro, I would keep using it!
I started with DMXIS, and found that it was very good for many things. However, it does not include some key pieces:
Palettes, Groups, and Cue Stacks are all powerful tools that work very well in DPro. In fact, DPro works much like the high-end consoles by MA and Hog.
So, IMHO, I would suggest that you keep right on using DPro and expand your controllers and interface. If you were to step up, I would suggest moving to the 8 Universe version once you fill up the first 2U.
