Re: ADJ Mega Hex Pars not working with DMXis
Its not a DMXIS problem and actually for all practical purposes fixture profiles don't actually change anything in DMXIS. Its primarily a labeling system so you can identify what fader controls what parameter. If you didn't assign a profile DMXIS would still output the same data on each DMX channel,...

Re: Limiting maximum DMX Value for specific faders ?
Unfortunately the fixture files do not allow you to actually limit the max out, only to define ranges of control. I know it seems like this should work, but DMXIS does not limit the output of the fader - full on will still always output 255, as there is no coding in DMXIS to actually limit the outpu...

Re: Change default midi channels for Banks and Presets
I'm pretty sure there isn't any external control via python or any other method that would allow you to change midi channels.
DMXIS would have to be reprogrammed to do this.

Re: Martin Atomic 3000 DMX. Help!!!
Set the dmx address on the strobe to 1, plug it in and run up the 1st four faders in DMXIS.
You don't have to assign a profile to the faders. DMXIS will still output DMX data without a profile assigned.
If nothing happens, you likely have a defective light.

are you saying you've selected Universe 2 in the "Universes" setup dialog for the DMXIS box, but that U1 channels are driving outputs through the interface? what else do you have connected to the system? If your only using a single DMXIS hardware interface, than you can only access a singl...

Visualizer Error
I've got a Chauvet Vesuvio II Fogger with 2 Light Zones (RGBAUV) I've created a fixture profile that correctly splits the light into two elements in the visualizer but the first Amber channel lights up on both fixtures and the 2nd amber channel doesn't do anything. I swapped out a W for the UV so I ...

If you need a way to do backing tracks than Show Buddy is a good alternative.
Otherwise I don't really have any recommendations as I don't use the VST version of DMXIS.

Hi,
yes your post is visible. I don't use DMXIS as a VST so can't help. Guessing there may not be a lot of Cubase users here using the VST version either.
Wish I could provide more info, but figured I'd reply just so you know there are other people active on the forum.

Re: Using Part of a Channel
Wasn't there a larger DMX option like 11 or 13 channels. That might give you access to the Dimmer channel by itself, although at the expense of eating up DMX channels. It always amazes me some of the design choices manufacturers make, clearly a dimmer channel shouldn't have anything else attached to...

Re: Using Part of a Channel
Ok, I spent some time playing with this and unless Dave chimes in with different information, it doesn't seem possible to constrain a channel to a max DMX value or specific range of DMX values. (so your not crazy) There isn't a mechanism in the fixture definition file to scale or define a limited ra...

Not sure its possible but imagine Dave will chime in here at some point.
The challenge your facing is the ADJ UniPak II is not a Light its a single channel DMX dimmer/switch pack. You could have anything plugged into it.

take a look at the task manager while you run your shows as see what your cpu load is. Not to sound snarky, but your having an issue with Ableton and asking how to fix that issue in a forum for a completely different product. Yes, DMXIS can be controlled/automated from an external source, but the recommended option is to use the banks/presets which you've chosen not to do. If you real...
