Re: Development Releases Nov 2023 - feedback thread
Hi Dave, I'm enjoying the enhancements in this release. The new backup feature is excellent and saves loads of time. I use SBS with a touchscreen monitor. I am able to select a button with one press but it does not display the song in the waveform window without a further two or three presses. A dou...

If you place a lighting cue at the beginning of a song, it will trigger upon pausing just before the song plays. I hope that makes sense.

Re: Help with Oscillator Settings
Apologies for the delay. Only just sat down with DMXIS to work out and answer your questions :) "Does having the chase on make the light pattern random or it’s just staggering the lights?" Where chase is set to the left of the centre of the dial (12 o'clock), the chase goes right to left. ...

I was able to achieve this with the following settings for red. Settings are type - square, amount - 100%, 6 bars, shape 50% Hi there. What chase setting did you select? With the red preset running, click on each red fader one at a time and make note of the chase number (this will be different for ...

Re: 1.7.1 Midi Chunk for Tap Tempo
For me to get 120bpm in 1/4 notes, I have to use;
0
0.4555
0.911
1.3665
The figures in your example Dave give me 110bpm
Very odd but it's something I can live with. Bit of trial and error and I should be good.

Re: Basic chases can’t be done.
The oscillator in DMXIS is perfect for this. Assuming you are using 8 RGB cob leds, start by programming the chase with a single color. Once that chase is up and running, add the other 2 colours with the same oscillator settings, re-save the preset and you have your white chase. Hope that helps. I W...

Re: Click Tracks? Backing Tracks? How to Handle...
Hi there, the latest beta of Show Buddy (renamed Show Buddy Setlist) 1.7 allows you to add a second audio file and output this over another 2 outputs. So you could have your partial backing track output through channels 1 & 2 for FOH and the click audio track through 3 & 4 solely to the IEMs...

Hi there, have a look at the Channel Patching function in DMXIS or Show Buddy Active. That will enable you to swap your faders around as required.

Re: Chase with 4 Par Bars
You need to set the colours up separately. First do the blues to chase from 0 to 100 then do the same chase with the reds from 0 to the desired level. Save it as a preset then start it running and they should chase your purple colour.
I am happy to go into the numbers if needed.
Hope that helps.

Re: Masking is driving me CRAZY!!!!
I tend to keep the rgb colours enabled together but you could isolate each colour if you wish. Lets say I selected my red preset. Everything except the rgb channels will be greyed out. The reds would be at 100% the blues and greens would be on zero but enabled. If I then select my dimmer 100 preset....

Re: Masking is driving me CRAZY!!!!
Hi there. Don't overwrite. Create a new preset each time. I use masking for everything. For your set up I would first disable all channels, then select and enable all the dimmer channels for your pars. I normally create 2 presets one at zero (off) and one at 100. Next disable all channels again and ...

The offending preset will be highlighted in red on the timeline of the song. As MegaSimon (cool name!) says, either create a preset with that name or delete the cue.

Request a link to the 1.7 beta. Dave has added onscreen transport controls. As a touchscreen user myself, I found using the onscreen keyboard frustrating. The beta solves the problem.

Re: Limiting maximum DMX Value for specific faders ?
This is something I have asked for previously. I hope it is still on Dave's, undoubtedly long, to do list.
Something similar to the patch screen should suffice so you can select the fader number and input the min/max range required.
