I mucked around in ChatGPT making Python scripts(not a programmer either)
It came up with the attached scripts.
Don't have a visualiser/venue to test.

Re: Hardware Controllers for D-Pro
Actually ended up using an Akai APC Mini Mk2 - with a reasonable amount of success. Easy to control Show Control Sliders with the faders. After a fair bit of mucking around, was able to create a fun, momentary button flash set of cues on a Show Control button page that was controlled by the buttons ...

Re: Feature request
I agree with your library scroll request. Was thinking that last week. There is a post on here from a few years ago requesting more fx scripts - someone had similar concerns to you. These moving head shapes aren't something I use personally, but the more the merrier I say! You are doing some cool st...

Some Fixture Editor Issues I'm Having
1. Have created a Fixture Profile for a Chauvet Colorband Pix-M USB ILS bar (tilting RGB colourwash bar) All works great, except when I make a cue to tilt all of my 6 units in the faderbank in Show Control - it snaps to a value instead of giving me all possible values as the fader moves. Was suggest...

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
Also, I can't see how you change a name of a fixture profile.
Am I missing something?

Thanks for the response! Should check my posts more than once every 18 months ;) I like the software too - I have been able to mould show control into a system that my completely no techy work colleagues can use well. Haven't used it in a proper theatre setting yet, just lots of live music and a few...

Ignore what I said in my previous post!!!!!
Instead, look at the post entitled 'Sticking Attributes' to get the actual answer.

No, that's the one and only limitation of the trial version - it does not output DMX data to Enttec hardware devices or Art-Net.

Re: Tap Tempo for cuelists
If you are running cue lists with the Show Control Window, there is the 'Speed/BPM' slider at the bottom. You can achieve something similar to a tap tempo with this. Also, while I have never tried it, you can drop audio into a cue list and program the cues to fire at specific points of your audio tr...

Re: Defeating active presets when switching to a new preset
By presets, do you mean cues?
If you are using Show Controller to switch between cues, then you can set multiple cues to be in the same Radio Group.
This way, you will switch from one unique cue to another unique cue, without 'mixing' the DMX information from the previous cue and the new cue.

Show Control Workflow
In Show Control, can buttons be assigned to select fixture groups?(as in, the pre-assigned groups in the Library)
Let's say that is possible, can colours, dimming percentages, moving head position then be applied to the selected fixtures?
Thankyou

Re: Process for transferring fixtures to a computer without internet
Ok thanks Dave, going to try that now.
Is there a way to create a new fixture from scratch from within D-Pro? Or will I need to do this workaround each time?
Thanks for your time.

My D-Pro PC is not going to be connected to the internet - how do I go about transferring my downloaded fixtures into d-pro on this PC?
Cheers

Hi Dave,
thanks a bunch for the reply.
I pasted your code directly and nothing happened. Is there any other code I need to add to make it work?

Re: RGBAW color macros - possible?
I went and programmed all the RGBAW colours from Ben Stowe's RGBAW Mixing Chart: https://www.nlfxpro.com/ben-stowes-rgbaw-color-mixing-chart/ You'll need to edit the RGB.py macro so the RGBAW colours are defined, as shown in earlier parts of the thread. Note: When "Select All RGBAW Channels&quo...

I want to write a macro that selects the same channels each time. When I write:
Nothing happens.
Any tips?

Re: RGBAW color macros - possible?
Just a heads up - when creating the code for selecting the RGBAW fixtures, it will also select the RGB fixtures and presumably any RGBA fixtures.
