Re: The simplest of setups?

Panic over... I just found the way to get these lanterns to wake up in the previous state when power is reapplied. On this model it's a long press on the ENTER button - there's nothing about that in the two page "chinenglish" leaflet. On the next version (with a slightly better manual) it's press MO...

The simplest of setups?

EDIT - SOLVED! :) Apologies for this post, it's probably not even anything to do with DMXIS, but you're the only lighting forum I belong to (I'm a soundie really). I've set myself what I thought would be the simplest of jobs... Light up the inside of our village church for Xmas. Nothing clever, just...

Preset 'library' or copy/paste?

I joined back in Feb to start learning Dmxis as a total lighting newbie (I'm a soundie), but then life got in the way, so I'm actually no further advanced and am still a raw beginner. I had a bash again tonight and wanted to program something really simple for Halloween. But what it did was make me ...

Struggling with momentary presets and fade outs

I'm trying to learn about masked channels and momentary presets. As a very simple test I decided to make a single red channel fade up, then a single green channel fade up, then the red to fade down, and finally the green to fade down. Here are the presets I've set up: https://drive.google.com/uc?exp...

General Guidelines for new fixtures and requesting edit ability for existing fixtures.

Is there any general guidance or helpfile for creating new fixture files? I am currently making a few for my own use and would share them if I thought they were correctly done. For example, are there any standards for "name", "short name", "label" and "short label" (and what's the difference, where ...

Re: More newbie Midi Questions - bank and preset changes

Thank you! Why couldn't they put that in the manual????
How about the next and previous buttons? I guess those are set up using midi learn (right click)?

More newbie Midi Questions - bank and preset changes

I don't even have my DMXIS yet, it's in the post... but I want to get ahead of the game and learn as much as I can first. In the manual, it mentions using midi notes on Ch15 and Ch16 to switch between banks and presets, but I can't see anywhere where it describes this in more detail. Am I missing a ...
