Re: CC 110 Crib Notes
Let me add one important stipulation of my suggested implementation: Once you have things set up, be sure that every time you start DMXIS, you need to first set Bank Tempo to 60 and Preset BPM to 42 prior to sending any CC 110 messages. Not having those dials set to the starting point will certainly...

Re: Desperately need help
I'm looking at your attached picture and that *is* ordered properly, based on the rules of alphanumeric sorting. What order were you expecting? Since "AA" probably doesn't really mean anything beyond a tag for sorting, have you tried changing the Bank names to integers, ordered by your pre...

CC 110 Crib Notes
Okay... I honestly searched for documentation on how to use CC 110, but I couldn't find what I needed, so I'll try to share what I've now learned. After a couple of hours of experimentation, I've discovered that secret handshake. For reasons unbeknownst to me, there are two interactive places to set...

Re: Adjusting tempo and changes during live show
I'm planning on experimenting with the CC 110 option, but does anyone know where *ANY* documentation is that describes the parameters and/or examples of use cases?

LOL!
I cannot count the number of times that the SW teams I managed had to develop workarounds for glaring HW issues.
Fess up, Dave. You've had to clean up HW messes too!

Re: SOLVED: DMXIS suddenly acting sluggish and chases are choppy
Sure enough, it happened to me as well. Something snorked those 3 default settings on my DMXIS and my lights wouldn't smoothly run the sine wave. It turned into a choppy stepper. I started with the obvious: get the show down to one light with a different DMX cable, and change the USB cable. No luck....

Re: DMXIS changing presets from wrong channels
I was able to resolve my problem with the 1.7.2 version. I would like to also recommend that other folks with somewhat complex midi routing challenges look into a combination of midiOX and loopMIDI. You can use midiOX to create mapping filters that allow the transformation of events and channels to ...

DMXIS changing presets from wrong channels
It is my understanding that DMXIS listens to MIDI events on channels 15/16. I don't see any documentation that says otherwise. I have a MIDI controller (Helix) that has a subset of foot buttons configured to send bank/program events on channel 7. Other foot buttons send bank/program events on channe...

Re: Migration failure / data missing
The path on the old laptop starts with "C:\Program Files/ENTEC/"
The path on the new laptop starts with
"C:\Program Files (x86)/ENTEC/"
Therein lies the problem with the data migration.

Re: Migration failure / data missing
UPDATE I discovered a workaround. Here's what I had to do: 1) Start up the application 2) Go to the preset manager DO NOT TRY TO LOAD ANY PRESETS! 3) Manually select/assign your fixtures again in the very same order that you have them on your older system 4) ( this step may or may not be necessary b...

Migration failure / data missing
I have DMXIS loaded on a Windows 10 laptop that has started to develop a problem with the screen. I have a second Windows 10 laptop and I am trying to move my installation and all my presets from the failing laptop to the good laptop. I downloaded a fresh copy of the install file for 1.6.3 which is ...

Re: Helix snapshots to change lights
I think you could create a single program that is effectively blank, but has a fade associated with it and call it fade. [ snip ] I'm not sure, but I think the fade is defined in the preceding preset, and passed as an argument to the following preset. Nonetheless, I'll try what you suggested. Thanks!

Re: Helix snapshots to change lights
Vwodwo22, Pretty good solution! Thanks! I haven't dug very far into implementation. Right now, I'm seeing the possibility of a lot of reuse. By that, I'm thinking that many of my presets for certain parts (verses, choruses) can be reused between some of the songs, as long as these aren't reused too ...

Re: Helix snapshots to change lights
Woo hoo! Finally figured this out. The "learn" doesn't seem to work by listening to just any MIDI messages. It does work by listening to continuous controllers, but not user-defined MIDI messages. I was making an assumption that I could send any unique MIDI message during a "learn&quo...

Helix snapshots to change lights
Greetings, I'm deep in Googling/research and on the precipice to invest in a DMXIS, but I need help with a specific question. I'm a guitarist and my feet are already busy pushing Line 6 Helix buttons and rocking controllers. I'd like for these same actions to result in light pre-configured show chan...
