Re: Setting up a behringer fcb 1010
It allows more functions and easier set up. Assign ability of swicht functions from upper and lower rows. IF......you're just gonna use it for DMXIS, the standard chip works fine. I actually use mine for presets up to as many as I like per bank. And the expression pedals as a haze output and master ...

Re: Setting up a behringer fcb 1010
Get an editor for the FCB there's free ones out there.
Also get a Uno chip and install it.
Makes the function of the FCB much better.

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box
Yes and no. You dont get an editing option with the stage setter like you do with a lot of modern midi devices. So you cant map the functions of your stage setter to specific function of DMXIS. It is a stand alone dmx device so the midi in it is at fixed channel values.. That's why I keep pushing yo...

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box
Yeah stagesetters have a crazy midi assignment that's difficult to work with occasionally because there is no editor for the midi assignments. In other words , they're fixed to certain functions and that's what you get. That's why I use the Akai stuff. I can assign single channel functions to fades ...

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box
Yup I use a Roland breakout box all the time, that way I can add my FCB1010 to the controllers I am able to use.
I the connect all my midi devices through that.
A powered usb hub helps also.

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box
We use a Akai midimix, and a Akai mpd26 Simultaneously to mix lighting on.
Usb to laptop. We almost have a universe depending on how our fixtures assigned.
Probably will have to upgrade to SBA soon.

Udp, Osc, UI24r
So I own a Soundcraft UI24r. Been using DMXis for yrs now, love it! The UI 24r in the latest firmware update can now send UDP commands through the mixing software. There is a page set up for this now. Well this is all new stuff for me . Can DMXis accept these commands. Its stuff I've never had to wr...

Re: How to cycle through presets with one midi button???
I would just use a midi assignment for your triggers. Set up your roland to send a midi note on a couple of pads/triggers and just use them to change presets. You can assign it in Dmxis to scroll through presets one by one forward or back. Just look in the menus at the top right of your Dmxis progra...

Re: Akai MPD26
Thanks for jumping in Dave. Yes pm the program it's showing a full on signal sent. Is there a lowest note that dmxis will recognize? I can actually get it to change three of the presets but as far as any of the others , it won't do anything. I've tried it two ways being concerned that there may be a...

Re: Akai MPD26
The 1st preset will be note value=0, 2nd note value=1, etc. I leave the 1st preset blank so the 2nd (note value=1) matches up with button #1 on the controller. It keeps it easier for me. And yes, same Chaff67. I was just on Harmony last week, but had not been around for quite some time on the forum...

Re: Akai MPD26
I programmed each of the pads to correspond to the midi value of presets. I don't remember if it's channel 15 or 16, I think it's 15. Then the note values would match up to the preset number. To keep it easy I named each preset with the pad number followed by a description (i.e. 05A Purple Front Sl...

Re: Akai MPD26
Well I have a Akai MPD26 seems pretty cool. Still have to figure out how to assign a pad to a preset. I can assign individual faders in DMXis to a pad , but I cannot get a pad assigned to a preset. My FCB1010 does this really well, hit stomp 1, preset 1, jump to stomp 8, goes to the 8th preset. I ne...
