Copy masking on specific channels only?
I posted this same question quite a while ago, but didn’t get one single response (which seems a bit remarkable to me). I’ll give it one more go, since I still have the same problem. Is there anyone who knows a macro for copying only specific masking, on certain given channels, to all the presets wi...

Re: Copying presets to a new bank
Borrowing this thread... This used to work for me. Now (since updating OSX to Catalina, which I had been holding off for fear that my DAW apps etc would stop working), the new bank shows up as empty in DMXIS. There are no scenes. In finder, all scenes are there, but not within DMXIS itself. I´ve tri...

Re: DMXIS not working as AU instrument on Catalina
Ha ha...actually, never mind. Or...not "never mind", but I seem to have found the problem. Strange one, though. It seems that somehow, related to the update process (I can´t imagine what else might have caused it since everything was back to normal when I tried starting up from an external...

DMXIS not working as AU instrument on Catalina
I only recently updated my MacBook to Catalina. I´ve been holding it off for fear that plugins, DAW´s and so on would stop working, but finally decided to give it a go. Catalina´s been around long enough now for it to have been replaced by yet another, even more major update (Big Sur). Everything se...

Copy masking on specific channels only?
Is there anyone who knows a macro for copying only specific masking, on certain given channels, to all the presets within a certain bank? The mask copying macro I have access to now copies literally *everything* related to masking in a whole preset, to all the other presets in the bank. This include...

Separate fade times for pan & tilt?
Is there any way to set fade times for pan and tilt movements completely separately/independently of all other fade times? There should be some way to go about this, right? Or some other function that accomplishes the same thing in practice? I can’t be alone in wanting to be able to set, say, the ti...

Re: ”Random” chases?
Could that do it, perhaps? I thought the ”shape”-knob only adjusts the direction of the chase, from left-right to right-left, and that the ”chase”-knob adjusts the degree to which the fixtures play in sequence rather than simply simultaneously. But maybe setting the knobs to extreme values does some...

”Extending” a chase to include additional fixtures?
Is there a way to ”extend” an existing chase, which I’ve already programmed, to cover a longer sequence of fixtures? So that it simply continues and lengthens the loop to include, say, new fixtures that I’ve bought and wish to add to my show? Or would I have to re-make the chases all over again, and...

”Random” chases?
Is there a way to create chases that ”jump” between channels ”randomly”, rather than run across them in sequence? I want to create a kind of randomly ”twinkling” effect, rather than waves across a continuous row of fixtures. It would be very helpful if this could be accomplished through the creation...

Macro for "moving" faders (rather than just patching channels)?
Would it be at all possible to create a macro that moves any settings (fader position, oscillator, masking and so on) from one fader in DMXIS to another? I´m about to replace my existing moving heads with another model, and I think I should be just about able to replace one for the other within DMXI...

Changing fixtures/changing fader names while keeping programmed fader values?
Is it possible to change the fixtures that are assigned to a given range of channels, while keeping the existing programming? I just bought a bunch of moving heads which I´ve spent a lot of time programming. When I used the fixtures on a gig, however, I found them lacking in brightness, and I´m thin...

Re: Automatic "paste" over masked channels?
Just want to make sure I have the requirements for the macro defined properly. Let me know if this is what you want and I'll start coding it. Here's an example of two Presets called A & B: Combine.png The Macro combines Preset A into Preset B. The basic operation is: * If Ch x in B is disabled,...

Re: Automatic "paste" over masked channels?
I sort of did this by creating Masked scenes of all my fixture groups and individual fixtures, and then created masks for all of their various colors and positions I use for them. I also use the moving head positioning macro in the Macro forum for all my scenes too. But it took me a lot of time to ...

Re: Multiple windows?
Hmm. Utterly strange. A bit like it not being able to have several windows open simultaneously in Logic Pro. Should be a complete no-brainer, it seems to me. Weird.
Thanks, though.

Re: Automatic "paste" over masked channels?
Yeah, I´m on board with all of that. I´d like for there to me a mode, though, where the masked channels of the preset I want to add new lights to, act as though they are not only masked, but completely "empty/transparent". So that *all* the information from the preset which I want to "...

Re: Automatic "paste" over masked channels?
What I´m after is a way to - when programming (as opposed to in a live situation) - make the inherited values of the previous preset "stick" to the faders, so to speak, instead of just staying where they are with the faders masked and "greyed out". As it´s designed at the moment,...

Automatic "paste" over masked channels?
Is there a way to, so to speak, have a bunch of settings automatically "pasted" over masked channels? So that you can combine several different scenes without having to manually enable disabled channels once again, after "fetching" desired settings from one scene and jumping over...

Multiple windows?
Is there a way to have both windows open at once, side by side so to speak? (The preset manager side by side with the faders, in order to be able to select a scene and have the faders for it instantly accessible in a separate window.) That would really save LOADS of time and fuss! It seems strange t...

Database/timeout error when trying to log in...
For the past week, I´ve been getting an error message when trying to log in and I can´t access the fixture library at all.
Anyone else experiencing this? Is the error at my end or at ENTTEC´s?
