Reverse The direction of a chase

Is there a "reverse" option somewhere on chases that reverses the direction that the lights chase in? I have 16 lights in a row. If I set up a chase on the 8 lights on the right, and that chase goes right to left (start at the outside and chasing into the middle) , how do I make a chase that does th...

Re: Please let us maximize standalone DMXIS!

I run DMXIS on a 11" netbook. The DMXIS window is TINY.

This is the ONLY program of any type that I have that won't maximize.

I love DMXIS, but there are some little things like this that fixing them would make it even MORE lovable!

Re: Deselect ???

I can't believe there's no way to De-Select. When setting up a big chase, I hold control and one at a time click on the channels I want. It's extremely common to hit an extra channel. In any other program, while holding control, you would just click the enabled channel a 2nd time and that would de-s...

Re: Intelligent Chase but not linear chase

My issue is if one of the colors (say orange which is a combination of Red and Green)

When I chase orange using anything but intelligent fade, the red and green don't move together and instead of orange fading in and out, I get Green and Red popping up, unwanted.

Intelligent Chase but not linear chase

If I set up a chase with 8 cans that are purple (mix of red and blue) , if I use Intelligent chase, the cans stay purple and chase, but my only option seems to be a linear chase (from left to right). I can't make them do sine wave or triangle chase types, because when I do, the red and blue do not m...

Deselect ???

Lets say I want to set up a huge chase, so I select 72 channels in a row by pressing on the first channel, holding shift and selecting the last channel. Now all 72 channels are highlighted. The Question, How do I unselect 4 of those channels? In normal programs, you would just hold the control key a...

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box

Yes and no. You dont get an editing option with the stage setter like you do with a lot of modern midi devices. So you cant map the functions of your stage setter to specific function of DMXIS. It is a stand alone dmx device so the midi in it is at fixed channel values.. That's why I keep pushing y...

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box

Yeah stagesetters have a crazy midi assignment that's difficult to work with occasionally because there is no editor for the midi assignments. In other words , they're fixed to certain functions and that's what you get. But with learn in DMXIS, I hit learn and move the fader and there it is. Right?...

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box

Yup I use a Roland breakout box all the time, that way I can add my FCB1010 to the controllers I am able to use. I the connect all my midi devices through that. A powered usb hub helps also. Cool. I will pick up the stagesetter I've been looking at. I think having a mess of faders will speed up the...

Re: Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box

We use a Akai midimix, and a Akai mpd26 Simultaneously to mix lighting on. Usb to laptop. We almost have a universe depending on how our fixtures assigned. Probably will have to upgrade to SBA soon. Both of those are USB over MIDI. I know that works. I have a Livid OHmRGB, and it works fine. But wh...

Re: Hanging fixtures upside down

Most movers have reverse pan and reverse tilt in their menus All my generic ones do. Most of them even have an option to flip the display so you can read it upside down! (Not in DMXIS, these settings are in the menu on the light itself) usually will say rPan (r for reverse Pan) or rTiL (reverse Tilt)

Just look in the menus at the top right of your Dmxis program.

What menus on the top right?

Can I use a 5 pin midi controller w/a usb converter box

In order to make programming go faster, I want to use an external fader bank to control a mess of DMX channels in DMXIS. (I'm closing in on 200 DMX channels, so it would save a lot of mousing) Was looking at the ADJ Scene Setter 48, which is 5 pin MIDI out, no USB midi Can I buy a midi to usb conver...
