Re: copying values from one (or more) channels to another?

For oscillators I noticed for example that if I have a Sine at 50% on channel 1 and 3 and I want to add the same to channel 2, it most likely won't be in sync with 1 and 3. So what I do is cancel the oscillators on 1 and 3 and then create them again on 123 so they are in sync. I haven't found any ot...

Awesome!

That was it! Thank you so much for your time.

You have just saved me hours of work!

I don't think I would've been able to figure it out on my own.

Re: copying values from one (or more) channels to another?

I have looked at that thread and tried the following. I have a folder under the following directories; C:\tmp\dmxis_clipboard and C:\users\myusername\appdata\local\tmp\dmxis_clipboard Where in both cases the "dmxix_clipboard" is a folder. Should there be a file called dmxis_clipboard that the progra...

Re: copying values from one (or more) channels to another?

So I have managed to get the scripts into the right place so that they show up under the Show buddy active Macros under Utilities. However, when I try to run the macro for copy, I get the following error; Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\Public\Documents/db-audioware/Show Buddy Acti...

Re: copying values from one (or more) channels to another?

Hi, Can someone explain to a newbie how the scripts work? I can totally use this copy script but I am not too sure how to use it. In DMXIS I had a bunch of like fixtures on the same DMX channels and I had to split them for use in Show Buddy Active. I have ton of presets that I have to fix/separate. ...

Re: Video Playback

Let's say I want to drop in some text onto the track. I only want the text to play for a specific amount of time. How would I do that? I have all the Presets set with FX Off. When I drop the Preset with the text onto the timeline, the text starts playing immediately and does not stop. Is it possible...

Visulizer Help - Intimidator Wave 360

So I have been using show buddy with DMXIS. I have a bunch of presets I have been using with our shows for our lights When I now use Show Buddy active, my presets have come over with no issues. The simple fixtures show on the visualizer with no issues. I have read the visualizer sticky many times an...

Re: Multiple Fixtures on the Same DMX Channel

For my second issue, I found this; https://forums.dmxis.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2856 I read through it but most is over my head. I'm assuming I have to edit the fixture in the fixture editor. I have no clue about this stuff (I can learn though with help). Or does anyone have these adjusted fixture ...

Multiple Fixtures on the Same DMX Channel

Hi, We recently got a new laptop for the band and added Show Buddy Active projection. Our previous set up was Show Buddy and DMXIS running our lights. I have copied over all the data I need to the new laptop and it looks like everything is mostly working. I have added/copied over my fixtures from th...

Re: New Laptop

I found this link;

https://www.dmxis.com/how-to-transfer-s ... -computer/

So it should have everything I need here.

However, when I use the link from Sweetwater to ENTTEC to download Show Buddy, the link is broken. I guess I need to contact them.

New Laptop

Hi, I have Show Buddy running our lighting show on a laptop successfully. The band just got a brand new laptop because we are going to add video to our shows. For this we purchased Show Buddy Active monitor. I think I need help moving everything to the new laptop. I have the Email from Sweetwater wi...

Re: Trigger Video With Showbuddy

Looking around some more it looks like Show Buddy Active with projection is what I will need.

This way I won't need to mess with midi and having the visualizer will be nice too.

Looks like we will need to upgrade our laptop.

Trigger Video With Showbuddy

Hi, We are successfully using show buddy to run our tracks and lighting. We'd like to add video to our show. I see where you can add midi triggers - dropping them on the timeline like you would lighting cues. I am far from an expert on this stuff and the research I have tried to do just made me more...

Re: Swap Track on Programmed Song

Ah that's great. So to clarify, if my imports come from the file Downloads, I can have that window up and drag the new track with the same name over to the show buddy window. Correct? What about the length, with this work if the length changes? (I know I will have to adjust the lighting cues to fit ...

Swap Track on Programmed Song

Hi, I have programmed all our tracks with lighting cues. We have made some changes to some of the tracks, levels, click cues, etc. How would I swap out the track and keep the lighting cues? Things I have tried; Delete the track file from the Show buddy files location and replace it with the new trac...

Re: Digital Noise when using ShowBuddy/DMXIS

Hmm, I thought that could be an issue and I will check that out. It is the manufacturers power supply but the laptop and supply are both older. I have some other power supplies I can try.

Thanks for the heads up!

Digital Noise when using ShowBuddy/DMXIS

Hi, After a long time programming all of the lighting cues for our tracks, I used our lighting system for the first time this past Saturday. Everything worked great and it really added to our show/performance. One issue we have is that we are getting digital noise through the PA system. It can be he...

Re: How to handle songs without a track in show

Thanks! Unfortunately we won't have someone to run the iPad. Instead, I have created blank tracks and I will make presets that I will set to sound via DMX settings for the fixtures themselves. I made the tracks 15 seconds long, and in the show, I set those tracks on repeat. I noticed that when you h...

How to handle songs without a track in show

Hi,

I've been busy programming our show using DMXIS and Show Buddy. We have a few songs that we don't use tracks on.

How does everybody handle the lighting during these songs in a set?

Thanks in advance!
