Hello!

what is next, what should we be looking at?
thanks......Joe

Thoughts on current software choices
Good Morning; Just wondering on general feelings about SBA vs D-Pro as well as other options out there like QLC or EMU? Tried EMU but so far the bugs have driven me away. After working with it for several hours and having it lose all my patches I was a bit too disheartened to start over with a blank...

Re: D-pro start up questions
Hello Paul -- Until Dave or somebody more knowledgeable gets back to you here are my thoughts: 1. The midicon desk should work great as a controller, especially given the theater application you have. 2. What is the reason for using artnet vs straight DMX? It seems to me (with the caveat that I know...

Re: help! default does not seem to work correctly
Agreed. The ability to assign a range (min/max) to a sub fader would be very useful. Consider: A fixture has a single channel that uses the value of 0-10 for open, 11-200 for dimmer and 201-255 for strobe. It would be nice to be able to assign a button for ON and a submaster for dimmer and another o...

Multi-Select Groups - and multi delete
Hello; I have setup my library using groups and try and only program using them vs grabbing fixtures. There is a lot of setup involved and a lot of the screen used up this way, so anything I can do to streamline is useful. My main show has two separate front trusses, with groups of fixtures on it th...

Re: help! default does not seem to work correctly
Dave; I woke up this morning thinking about this and I do understand where you are coming from. Yes, having a bunch of fixtures moving their heads or gobo wheels all the time would be completely unusable. As I get deeper into fixture creation I can see that.obviously having the ability to selectivel...

Re: help! default does not seem to work correctly
So if you turn a cue on then turn it back off it just leaves any non-dimmer/color channels on? -- that is not a desirable feature and not at all intuitive, people just expect ON= ON and OFf = go back to off, not just turn some off and leave others on. Why could the software could give us the option ...

Re: help! default does not seem to work correctly
Dave -- I agree that their idea of software switching is silly, but that still leaves the issue I have had unanswered: 1: Does d-pro not send default data for control channels, it seems to always send a 0? 2: what are the differences between the different channel types? I have another fixture (A gig...

using a gobo instead of color to help with advanced timings
Hello; Will doing the below have unintended consequences? I have a bunch of LED pars with RGBW channels - they are setup as a RGB channel with an additional white color channel. I then have several fixtures that use a color wheel (indexed) - these are setup as a fixed color channel. In a cue list if...

Re: help! default does not seem to work correctly
OK...This is really causing problems. The color palette fixture by Chauvet (created by Dave) uses ch 1 to set its mode (how many DMX channels it uses). If you are not sending it a mode the fixture defaults to 0 which is 27 ch mode. If you have other fixtures sending DMX data out this will cause unex...

Re: Liine Lemur OSC BUTTON WITH LABEL
Pretty cool... Do you mind a couple questions? What device are you running it on and how stable has it been for you? Are you using OSC or Midi? Wifi or cable? I messed with it a while back but never got it up and running right and then got distracted by other shiny things... Thanks for sharing -- Joe

It's coming up on 2 weeks -- can somebody take a look at this? I also opened a trouble ticket through the Enntec website and received a auto-response but nothing since then. Hello;
There seems to be a bug when you save a group using a group number - it says it updates it but does not.

New How To Videos and Major Show Setup
Hello; We have a pretty major NYE show coming up. I thought it might be useful (or at least interesting) to log all of the setup involved. The show is a private event which will have 34 feet of lighting truss, lasers and video. I will be showing in detail everything from cabling, trussing and softwa...

Re: default does not work as expected
Dave ---
Have you had a chance to take a look at this?
What channels send the default -- should it just be the dimmer channel?
A lot of people use control channels in their fixture defs and if those do not reset to default it seems pretty strange.

Good morning; OK, thanks for the reply and suggestion. That will probably get me through, however, if you can tell me if I can do the below that would bel helpful. I have most of my sub masters on the first tab used for things like strobe control and dimming various groups of lights. So I have creat...

chnging midi assignments per tab
Hello; Is there a way to effectively use multiple tabs in show control where each tab maps out to the same controller? Meaning I have one midi controller (a lanuchpad mini) - it is a 9 x 9 matrix. I have set my grid up to be 9 x 9. But if I assign the keys to cues and cue lists then switch tabs, the...

Zoot -- that sounds like the correct way of doing it.
What is one of the fixtures and which channel are you trying to control - I will try and put a quick video together (if you have not figured it out already).

Re: trigger next cue in cuelist immeadiatly not working
Dave; There appears to be a bug, or I am really not understanding what it is supposed to be doing. When manually stepping through a cue using a mapped next cue button it goes to the last cue then stops, it will not continue. Also, if you pause a running cue and step through a cue it does not trigger...

Re: Red and Green Attributes appear to be switched
On the DMX output screen what you are looking for is if the expected channel is changing. Because it does not show actual DMX numbers being sent but just percentages it is not ideal. But if your fixture starts on channel 10 and had the first three channels as RGB say and then channel 4 as a master f...

Re: KAM PInspot Moving Head Problems
Just wondering if you got this working and what the problem turned out to be? From what I see everything looks right, I have a fixture that uses pan/tilt with fine setup the same way and it works. The only difference on mine is I have the default for both fine channels set to 0 -- but I can't imagin...
